This is the skate park at Paraparaumu Beach. It is one of Slash's favourite places.

Our Lady of Lourdes

Refered to as the Statue of Mary, the Statue of Our Lady of Lourdes with her illuminated halo keeps a constant vigil from high on the hill behind Paraparaumu. She stands 14 metres tall.

Falling Down Barn

We pass this barn on our way home from work everyday. It was standing in one piece until a couple of weeks ago when the front of it collapsed.

This is a view of the Kapiti Coast from midway down the Paekakariki Hill road. It show's how Raumati and Paraparaumu are out on the point so to speak. In the middle of it all is Paraparaumu Airport.

Summer Fun

OK, so I cheated, there is more than one picture today. This is the kids having fun in the beach. I have one extra to normal as Slash's friend Digger was with us.

365 Pictures

Someone I know decided to try and take a photo each day of the year. I thought it was a brilliant idea and decided to do the same.

For me, I decided to take up the challenge as I'm notorious for not get pictures of special occasions let alone everyday life. I grew up in a family where photo's were too expensive to take all the time, as getting them developed took money we didn't have. Now that civilisation is in the digital age and I have a computer and a digital camera so I have no excuse.

That said the camera has been taken away for the weekend by my husband so I'll have to start with a picture I took during the week.
